| Rich Wheater stands somewhere between 5 and 6 feet tall, and weighs in just shy of 150 burritos. He never tackles dangerous tasks before consuming volumes of high-test espresso in order to maintain a steady hand. He's also quite fond of home-made pizza (makes a mean dough), and a nice cold India Pale Ale. Okay, in all seriousness (sorta) Rich is a reliable and hardworking guy with a reputation for creating stunning, action-packed photos depicting outdoor-adventure sports and other-worldy natural locations. Over the past 15 years his pictures have appeared in many books, calendars, magazines, catalogs, websites, and various advertising campaigns. Rich loves to chat (ramble) at any time of day (or night). Rich just completed his first book, Vancouver Trail Running, a runner's guide to the extensive technical singletrack lurking in the mountains around Vancouver, BC. The book is published by Quickdraw Publications and will be available mid-March 2011. Rich is also a SPRAT 1 certified industrial rope access technician. This means if you're in need of high-angle industrial site photography that requires Worksafe BC complient industrial rope access techniques then he's your guy.
